Description:
A seashell is the home of a mollusk. After its original inhabitant is gone, other small creatures often reclaim it as their own “safe harbor.” This simple act of recycling and reuse in nature closely echoes humanity’s concept of sustainable design.

Glass is an important renewable and recyclable material, playing a meaningful role in sustainable design practices. Introducing recycled materials into artistic creation not only expands the language of the medium, but also contributes—piece by piece—to the building of a “green home.”

Using glass as the medium and the seashell as a guiding motif, the work aims to express a commitment to protecting our “Earth as home”—because safeguarding the planet is ultimately safeguarding the shared future of humankind.
