Guan Yan Series · Wood-Fired Ceramic Handled Teapot Handmade Silver Handle by Jiang Ma Xiang – Contemporary Ceramic Art | EmberArte
€2.999,00 EUR
This teapot from the Guan Yan Series embodies Jiang Maxiang’s exploration of structure, material tension, and the dialogue between fire and form. The vessel is hand-built from ceramic clay and fired in a traditional wood-fueled kiln, where flame, ash, and prolonged heat imprint the surface with deep, stratified textures and mineral-like tonal transitions. Each plane of the body bears distinct fire traces, emphasizing the raw geometry shaped by the kiln environment.
The handle is crafted from handmade silver, forged and shaped to balance the weight and angular presence of the ceramic body. Its restrained, utilitarian form contrasts subtly with the rugged, organic surface of the wood-fired clay, creating a measured dialogue between metal and earth.
